During the summer of 2015, I traveled abroad with the University of Memphis to Cape Town, South Africa. We were able to see different cultures and explore the world of nutrition in a unique and unforgettable way. We got an inside look into low socioeconomic groups and how their feeding systems worked, as well as cooking classes of all different types of traditional South African cuisine.
